“ KADAL” A Mani Ratnam film

Mani Ratnam next different creation movie “ KADAL” is ready to come on theatre to make block buster. That ‘Kadal’ is set in the backdrop of the lives of fishermen is an open secret. And fishermen are known for venturing into sea braving all odds, especially the weather conditions.

So when the Nilam cyclone stormed Chennai earlier this week, Mani Ratnam, who was waiting to shoot some important scenes, made use of it.

“Mani Ratnam, Rajeev Menon (cinematographer) and other members of the cast and crew took it as a challenge to work during the cyclone and successfully shot the scenes near Kasimedu and Royapuram.
