UP: IAS officer arrested for allegedly harassing woman on train
An Uttar Pradesh IAS officer, Shashi Bhushan Lal Susheel has been arrested for allegedly harassing a Google India executive. A case has been registered against him in Lucknow. He will be produced in court on Monday.
The IAS officer has been arrested under bailable offence. The incident happened on the Lucknow Mail on Sunday night. The Google executive was travelling with her mother-in-law on the train.
However, the IAS officer said that the woman made casteist remarks on him. “I accidentally dropped some of her luggage and we started arguing. She used a casteist slur against me,” Bhushan said.
