Clinical Pakistan Beat India by Five Wickets
Shoaib Malik and skipper Mohammad Hafeez made useful half-centuries as Pakistan registered their first Twenty20 victory over India, beating their arch-rivals by five wickets to take 1-0 lead in the two match Twenty20 series.
Needing ten runs in the last over, Pakistan overhauled the Indian target of 133 when Malik smacked Ravindra Jadeja for straight six. He remained unbeaten on 57 off 50 while Hafeez made 61 off 44 deliveries. The two shared 106 runs for the fourth wicket – the highest for Pakistan in a T20 international.
