Micromax FunBook and HCL ME Tablet U1
The Indian market today is flooded with tablets and there are new entrants emerging from different brands. In order to cater to the price conscious and smart shopper HCL has announced the much in news and versatile HCL ME Tablet U1. Micromax, on the other hand has announced the Micromax FunBook. Both these tablets offer a host of user friendly features to the user. The HCL ME Tablet U1 is priced at Rs 7,950 and the Micromax FunBook Tablet at Rs 6,499.
Micromax Funbook accessories such as HD Shield Screen Protector, Leather Case and Car Charger are now available on stores.The Anti-Glare screen protector is made of a special micro thin polymer that reduces glare. It also protects the screen from fingerprints, dirt, scratches, smudges and grease. The Leather Case has dust resistant durable leather exterior and the interior is made of scratch proof micro-fibre.
The front part of the case could be folded behind and used as a stand for viewing movies. The Car Charger lets you charge your Funbook while travelling. It has Dual USB Port and has protection against over charging and short-circuit.
The design bears differences as the HCL ME Tablet is made up of polycarbonate frame and is slightly thicker than the Micromax FunBook. The Funbook offers variation in the colors and it is available in slate grey and midnight black.
The similarity is in the type of display which is touch-based and they weigh 350g each.
The HCL tablet has additional buttons provided at the right side of HCL tablet for volume control. There is an intelligent Display ON and OFF switch which saves battery while you listen to music on the HCL ME tablet.Both the tablets come with 512 MB DDR3 RAMAccelerometer sensor is provided in both the devices.Although the HCL ME Tablet U1 and the Micromax FunBook are based on CORTEX A8 but the former is clocked at 1GHz and the latter at 1.2 GHz.Both run on the Android 4.0.3 and support almost every file extension.
