Finally Yuvaraj Singh Tumor Gone!!

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is a happy man today and so are his fans as the left-handed cricketer, revealed that the malignant lung tumour, for which he is undergoing chemotherapy for a rare germ cell cancer between his lungs, he received a very good news from his doctor. Dr Lawrence Einhorn, who is treating Yuvraj’s malignant tumour told him that it was “almost out of his system” after the first cycle of treatment. His second cycle of chemotherapy has started.

Yuvaraj Singh’s health first deteriorated during the World Cup last year, in which he was the man of the tournament and helped India win the trophy for the first time since 1983.Yuvaraj, the 30-year-old cricketer is being treated for a rare form of cancer, called seminoma, who went to Boston in US last month, has gone bald during the treatment, which will go on till the last week of March before the process of rehabilitation starts in April and is expected to be back on the field in the first week of May.

Dr Einhorn, who is known to be the among the best cancer doctors in the world, had also treated legendary cyclist Lance Armstrong, who had suffered from testicular cancer in 1996. The dashing batsman had earlier got a message from US cycling legend Lance Armstrong, whose own inspirational triumph over cancer is well-documented, wishing him a speedy recovery.

Yuvaraj’s chemotherapy will not just affect his cancer cells, but also his healthy cells and will give rise to side effects that can be quite distressing. Finally, he should remember the powerful healing power of prayer, meditation and belief is a higher power. As soon as his chemotherapy is over, he should take control of his recovery and integrate the physical, mental, environmental and spiritual components of healing.

Yuvaraj has so far scored 8,051 runs in 274 one-days and 1,775 runs in 37 Tests since making his international debut in 2000. He was named Player of the Tournament in the World Cup for scoring 362 runs and grabbing 15 wickets in nine matches.

After being diagnosed with the illness, Yuvraj has not played competitive cricket since taking part in two of three home Tests against the West Indies in November.
