The counting has already starded and the first round, ResultsYSR Congress Party is in lead with !5 places and congress with 2 and TRS 1 , TDP-0.
With odds favouring an impressive performance by the YSR Congress, the big question haunting the Congress and TDP is which one of them would be relegated to second or third place in the majority of seats. The results are politically significant as it is expected to give a flavour of the 2014 general elections. The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for the eagerly-awaited exercise of counting of votes. A 9,000-strong force has been deployed as part of three layers of security at each of the 13 counting centres in the 12 districts.
The EC has created three corridors of security at each centre — the first corridor around the 100 metres radius of the centre, the second at its main entry and the third one at the doorway of the counting halls.

Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal asked police not to allow any vehicle into the first security corridor and appealed to the contestants and their agents who are allowed to enter the halls, to reach them by walk from this point. After announcement of the results, winning candidates will have to take permission from the district Collector and local police to take out any victory rally.
